Class Overview

The Raquel Martinez Professional Bullfighting School teaches expert technique and cape work used by professional matadors around the world. The classes are imparted by full-fledged, professional matadors, with hundreds of performances and triumphs in their storied careers. Led by matadora Raquel Martinez, she will ensure your cape work is as inspirational as it is correct in technique. Students can safely learn to master inspirational passes, the traditional placement of the colorful banderillas, and learn how to read a bull’s individualized charge to plan their Óle-provoking faenas or cape work!

Students will be initially assessed to develop a customized training plan. And depending on a student’s desired goals, intensive training sessions or packages can be customized to face a charging livestock in less than a week or be tailored to have students perform in a tientas, festivals, and bullrings beginning today.

Classes are given in the border region of San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico, though intensive and short term classes are also available throughout Mexico and the United States, as well. And for those that are ready to jump into the ring over the weekend to take an journey into self-discovery, receive an once-in-a-lifetime adventurous experience, and test themselves against smaller animals, these opportunities are available at Mexico’s finest bull ranches upon request.
